Completely understand why you wouldn’t want lookup lists inside tables. However, I hear a degree of opposition against lookup functions using dedicated external tables too. Some people think it will corrupt the database. I don’t understand why? Can you explain if there are any risks with the better approach?

the filtering in datasheet view being able to select from a drop down list multiple items is very helpful in sorting. Can this button be added to form in datasheet view in order to preserve this sortability.

All my complaining aside (it appears YT may have a problem with "kv-e-t-ching"?), THANK YOU for posting this. It's saved me HOURS of ****ing around in Word. Seriously, if I had to choose between deth(sic) by firing skwad(sic) or deth(sic) by Microsoft, I'd have to have a think about it. I think YT is going nuts about automated post editing, thus the misspellings.

Hi Richard.. WHAT IF... I have a database with a T/F Check Box, what if I want to highlight either ALL [or in my case] just 3 of the OTHER fields red back? I've tried a few times to no avail..

Thank you for the video! It was really helpful. One thing - I have 365 and although I followed your instructions it still saved the new template in a different templates folder. However all I had to do was find the normal template's and the new template's folders and move the latter into the correct folder, so I could delete the old normal and rename the new one as you say.

For feedback purposes, but first thank you Richard for better insights on MSAccess.. To newbies lots of practice to ensure proper oversight of record sets underneath the forms within this template.

I kept getting ‘Subscript out of range’ when trying to split the database. Then I followed the tutorial of another video and that seems to work: 1) I made a copy of the database, 2) in 1 copy I removed everything but the tables (backend), 3)in the other copy I removed all the tables, saving the forms, queries, reports etc. (Front end), 5) I opend the front end table and linked it through “External data/from database/access…” with the backend table. It seems to work ok, but am I now at risk of any failures or errors in the future by ‘ surpassing’ the error message I got when trying to use the access splitting tool?

Hi Richard< Thanks for the excellent video. I found an issue with this EOMONTH that I hope you will be able to provide an answer to. I created the EOMONTH function by following your instructions and it works perfectly - Thank You. However, when I use it in a form, then use it again in a Report, any fields that do not have a date (so basically Null values) have the text #Type! displaying and I have tried everything I can think of (conditional formatting etc.) but I cannot get rid of it. Please can you help as the Reports look horrible with this #Type! in every blank field!

I resize subforms in the main form double clicking on the border of the subform in the main form. 😉
